Thyrocare should serve to 50% of world's population, 50% of their diagnostic needs, at 50% of the costs. Thyrocare should be the biggest client for top 20 diagnostic manufacturing companies in the globe.

Management

Dr. A. Velumani, Promoter, Chairman and Managing Director , CEO

He is a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Madras and has an MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bombay and a PhD in Thyroid Physiology from the University of Bombay. He has over 35 years of experience in diagnostics Research and Business. After 15 years of experience in Thyroid Biochemisry Research at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre – BARC Mumbai, He started Thyrocare in 1995. Using a unique business model in a focused Biochemistry back end laboratory, he has built an organization which got listed in National Stock Exchange in May 2017, with a stellar oversubscription of 74 times. He is also MD of Nueclear Healthcare Limited, which is a Radiology vertical, that focuses on Cyclotrons and PETCT for diagnosing and monitoring in Oncology.

Mr. A. Sundararaju, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer

He is a graduate in law from the University of Bombay. He has over 18 years of experience in finance, legal and administrative activities. He has been in charge of the finance, legal, administrative and franchisee departments of our Company since 1996. He has been a Director on our Board since incorporation.

Ms Amruta Velumani, Director

As the youngest director on board, Ms. Amruta Velumani brings a lively charm and an intelligent playfulness to the day to day functioning of the company. A student pursuing her masters in Biotechnology, at Thyrocare, she leads the HR and personnel team with innovative ideas of recruitment, employee interactions, new training and development programs as well as conceptualizing and executing events in the company. Apart from her role in managing the HR functions of the company, Amruta also takes active interest in the communications and brand building activities for the company.

Mr Ajay Relan, Director

One of the pioneers of the Indian private equity industry, Mr. Ajay Relan headed Citi’s private equity business since its inception in 1995. He went to work with several financial firms in multiple geographies, starting with Citibank in 1976 and the last being the CEO of a Citi affiliated brokerage firm, Citicorp Securities & Investments Ltd. until finally founding CX partners. He has also served on the boards of several portfolio companies, such as Suzlon, HT Media, Yes Bank, i-Flex and Progeon among others.

Mr Vivek Chhachi, Director

Prior to joining CX Partners, Mr. Vivek Chhachi was a Director with Citi Venture Capital International (CVCI) and was with Citi’s private equity business for 14 years. During his tenure with CVCI, Vivek worked to identify & invest, manage and exit a large number of companies across a wide spectrum of industries catering to IT, Financial Services, Auto, Metals & Mining, Infrastructure, Pharmaceuticals & Specialty Chemicals etc. to name a few. Vivek has worked in this capacity with several companies, such as Polaris Software, Daksh, I-Flex solutions, Jubilant Organosys, HT Media, Techno Electric, IVRCL Infrastructure, Himadri Chemicals, SEW Construction, Sasken Technologies, among others.
